Strategic Expansion of Lockheed Martin on Florida’s Space Coast
Lockheed Martin is set to expand its presence on Florida’s Space Coast with a new $140 million, 225,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Titusville. Announced by the Economic Development Commission (EDC) of Florida’s Space Coast, this project will create up to 300 high-wage private sector jobs and involve approximately 100 U.S. Navy personnel.
The facility will produce components for the Trident II D5 Life Extension 2 (LE2) missile, supporting the Navy’s strategic deterrence capabilities through 2084. This expansion builds upon previous investments, including the relocation of Lockheed Martin’s Fleet Ballistic Missile headquarters and the opening of the STAR Center, reinforcing the Space Coast’s role as a hub for national defense and aerospace innovation.
