Artemis I launch a success!
Last week we were able to witness the historic launch of NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket as it embarked on its Artemis I mission to the Moon. All four Alliance states play an important role in the Artemis Program and we would like to take this moment to celebrate what we accomplish when we all work together. Here is what Laura Hipp Mayer, Chair of the Aerospace Alliance, has to say about the exciting news!
“The road to America’s return to the moon begins in the Gulf Coast! With design, development, assembly, testing, and launching of the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft taking place in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi, thousands of engineers and technicians in these states were responsible for the successful Artemis I launch.
By working together, the states of the Aerospace Alliance are making history as America’s core for aerospace innovation. Our region will continue creating the future of spaceflight that will thrust forward the next generation of deep space exploration.”
