New Boeing Location at Embry‑Riddle Will Bring 400 High-Paying Jobs to Florida

Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University and Boeing formally announced a new partnership Tuesday, June 11, 2024, that will bring 400 high-paying jobs to Volusia County, Florida, through 2026. New employees at this state-of-the-art center of excellence will perform engineering work for Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security aircraft programs and advanced technology capabilities. Skydweller opens flight test facility at Stennis

State and federal officials joined together at Stennis International Airport in Hancock County for the opening of Skydweller Aero’s flight test and aircraft modification facility. Skydweller is the nation’s only large unmanned solar-powered aircraft capable of perpetual flight. Read more here.

Amazon Web Services plans to invest $10 billion, creating 1,000 jobs to establish data center complexes in Mississippi

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) is investing $10 billion to establish multiple data center complexes in two Madison County industrial parks. The project is a planned $10 billion corporate investment and will create at least 1,000 high-paying, high-tech jobs. Mobile, Alabama, aerospace cluster set for future growth as expansion plans take shape

Airbus Americas is increasing its investment in the A220 final assembly line at its Alabama manufacturing facility by an additional $18.8 million. Additionally, Airbus is constructing a second A320 production line at its facility in the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley complex, a major project that is creating 1,000 jobs and doubling the company’s industrial footprint in Alabama.
