Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University and Boeing formally announced a new partnership Tuesday, June 11, 2024, that will bring 400 high-paying jobs to Volusia County, Florida, through 2026. New employees at this state-of-the-art center of excellence will perform engineering work for Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security aircraft programs and advanced technology capabilities. Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) is investing $10 billion to establish multiple data center complexes in two Madison County industrial parks. The project is a planned $10 billion corporate investment and will create at least 1,000 high-paying, high-tech jobs. Airbus Americas is increasing its investment in the A220 final assembly line at its Alabama manufacturing facility by an additional $18.8 million. Additionally, Airbus is constructing a second A320 production line at its facility in the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley complex, a major project that is creating 1,000 jobs and doubling the company’s industrial footprint in Alabama.
