Aviation & Aerospace in Florida’s Great Northwest
The Aerospace Alliance is deeply grateful for our corporate partnerships, all of which enhance our position as global hub for aviation, aerospace and space.
Through partnership support with marketing and events, our states continue to welcome aviation and aerospace industries of all sizes – leveraging our world class assets, ready sites and a trained and reliable workforce.
Florida’s Great Northwest is an ideal partner as they offer a plethora of strategic advantages in the aerospace and defense industry. Thank you, FGNW, we appreciate your support!
Northwest Florida is famous for our beautiful white sand beaches, but beyond our beaches lies an ideal business destination for aviation, aerospace and defense companies. We have a $1.5 billion grant program and skilled military talent – creating the perfect location for your success.
We are home to six military installations that bolster aerospace research and development initiatives as well as train the nation’s top pilots. The Department of Defense’s influence on our communities has formed an educational pipeline that includes Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida State University, the University of Florida’s Research and Engineering Education Facility and the University of West Florida.
And the talent you need for today is already here. Each year, more than 3,000 military personnel transition from our six military bases at the average age of 38. Exit surveys reveal that they would like to stay in the area and use put their skillsets that range from engineering to aviation maintenance to work.
In a time of workforce shortages, top aerospace executives have already tapped into our talent – and you can too. Take ST Engineering for example. They selected our region for an aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at the Pensacola International Airport. Once complete, their facility will be the second largest complex of its kind in North America. In their decision making, both talent and Northwest Florida’s Triumph Gulf Coast Fund – the only incentive program of its kind – made our region the right choice.
Learn more about how the Triumph Gulf Coast Fund is helping ST Engineering secure funding to build a one million square foot MRO campus in Pensacola that leverages Northwest’s Florida strong business climate and skilled aviation labor force.
